Creating a new Newsletter

Step 1: Start a New Newsletter

  • Click the Create button and choose Newsletter,
    • or click Create Newsletter directly from the Newsletter Panel.

Step 2: Choose a Publication

  • Select the publication this newsletter belongs to.
    • Think of a publication as a newspaper, and each newsletter as a new “edition” of that publication.
  • You can have multiple publications for different groups (e.g., Junior School Newsletter, Sports Updates).

Step 3: Tag the Newsletter (Optional)

  • Add tags for week, term, or semester to help track editions.

Step 4: Select Content to Include

Choose how Bundlebird should automatically build your newsletter:

  • Articles – Include posts from:
    • The last 7 days, 14 days, or a specific date range.
    • Specific topics, authors, or tags.
  • Dates (Events) – Include all upcoming events from all date-type topics.
  • Notices – Automatically include posts from all notice-type topics.
  • Click Create Newsletter.

Bundlebird will then generate the newsletter based on your choices.

Fine Tune Your Newsletter

Once generated, you can fine tune your newsletter in the Newsletter Creator.

Add or Edit Newsletter Details

  • Subtitle & Tags – Update the week/term tags or add a short introductory note at the top of your newsletter.

Rearrange Topics

  • Topics appear in the order set in the Post Topics menu by default.
  • Use the drag handles to reorder topics for this specific newsletter.

Add or Remove Posts

  • Adding posts from included Topics:
      1. In the Contents panel, scroll to Topics in Newsletter.
      1. Click the topic to add posts from.
      1. Click Add Posts. Select one or more posts to add from that topic.
      1. Click Add # Posts. Your selected posts will be added to that topic.
  • Adding posts from other Topics:
      1. Scroll to Other Topics below your included topics.
      1. Click the topic to add posts from.
      1. Select one or more posts to add from that topic. Click Add Posts.
  • Removing posts:
    • With a topic selected, click Remove to take a post out of this edition.
⚠️

Removing a post from a newsletter does not delete the post. It simply removes it from being included in this newsletter.

Reorder or Edit Posts

  • Use the drag handles to change the order of posts within a topic.
  • Click Edit to make last-minute changes to a post.
  • Click a post title to read or preview it.
